Tour Description

Your Pearl Harbor Tour begins when our well-trained tour guides meet you at the lobby of your hotel and greet you with aloha. As you drive to Pearl Harbor, you will listen to an excellent pre-recorded lecture given by a historian, on why the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. The drive to Pearl Harbor is approximately 25 minutes. The tour starts at 9:00 am and concludes at 2:00 pm. Times can be modified, due to rush hour traffic.
At your arrival at Pearl Harbor, your tour guide will give you a presentation about the visitor center, some of the history and our expertise on how to navigate the visitor center, to achieve the best experience, while maximizing your time.

We reserved and secured your pre-ordered Pearl Harbor tickets to visit the USS Arizona Memorial and the USS Missouri. The Arizona Memorial program consists of a 23-minute video with real footage of the attack, followed by a boat ride to the site where the USS Arizona sunk. Visitors will have the opportunity to visit the Memorial for 15 minutes, read the names of the 1177 sailors and marines that died at the USS Arizona on December 7, 1941 You will also see oil from the ship, and the wreck of the USS Arizona. Guides are not permitted to accompany you during this portion of the tour.

After returning from the Arizona Memorial, you will visit the USS Missouri  located on Ford Island, an active and restricted military base. Upon arrival to the USS Missouri, you will feel the power of history where the official surrender of the Japanese took place. You will stand on the deck where general McArthur signed the peace treaty on September 2, 1945, see the official document on a beautiful display, listen to an orientation by the USS Missouri tour guides, see the dent on the USS Missouri where the Kamikaze pilot struck the ship, look at the powerful cannons and visit the interior of the ship.

A visit to Punchbowl Crater, home to the National Cemetery of the Pacific honoring more than 33,000 soldiers who lie in rest within this ancient volcano crater, followed by a drive through downtown Honolulu with its historic buildings, a stop near Iolani Palace and the King Kamehameha Statue will conclude our Pearl Harbor Tour.

What's Included:

Step Back into History by visiting the bookends of World War II exhibits at Pearl Harbor – the beginning and end of the participation of the United States during WWII.

While you’re on Oahu, make a date with history and visit Pearl Harbor, one of the most historic places in the world. Learn from the excellent displays in the visitor center, view a film on the day “which will live in infamy,” and cross the harbor aboard a Navy vessel to visit the USS Arizona Memorial which lies across the USS Arizona where over 1170 sailors and marines gave their lives. We will then travel to Ford Island to tour the battleship USS Missouri, where the conclusion of the war took place in Tokyo Bay on September 2nd, 1945. Following our visit at the Battleship Missouri Memorial, we head over to Punchbowl National Cemetery, also known as The Arlington of the Pacific, then to the grounds of the only royal palace in the United States, Iolani Palace, and to the statue of King Kamehameha.

Takeaway

Step Back Into History by visiting these two sites. One in front of the other, talking to us in silence but with their strong presence; the USS Arizona is a sobering place, a place of loss and respect and the USS Missouri is a powerful place, illustrating the accomplishments of a nation and the strength of its convictions.
Learn about the history of the Hawaiian Royals, the ancient Hawaiians and The Arlington of the Pacific.
